چکیده

Instanton contributions to the Laplace sum-rules for correlation functions of scalar gluonic currents are calculated. It is demonstrated that the instanton contributions consist of an instanton continuum that contributes to all sum-rules and a (scale-independent) portion which makes a unique contribution to the sum-rule containing the low-energy theorem. These instanton contributions are found to diminish the role of the low-energy theorem in the sum-rules, significantly increasing the resulting mass bounds for the ground state of scalar gluonium.

Quark Effects in the Gluon Condensate Contribution to the Scalar Glueball Correlation Function

One-loop quark contributions to the dimension-four gluon condensate term in the operator product expansion (OPE) of the scalar glueball correlation function are calculated in the MS scheme in the chiral limit of nf quark flavours. The presence of quark effects is shown not to alter the cancellation of infrared (IR) singularities in the gluon condensate OPE coefficients. The dimension-four gluon...

A Gaussian Sum-Rules Analysis of Scalar Glueballs

Although marginally more complicated than the traditional Laplace sum-rules, Gaussian sum-rules have the advantage of being able to probe excited and ground states with similar sensitivity. Gaussian sum-rule analysis techniques are applied to the problematic scalar glueball channel to determine masses, widths and relative resonance strengths of low-lying scalar glueball states contributing to t...

Screening of the topological charge in a correlated instanton vacuum.

Screening of the topological charge due to he fermion-induced interactions is an important phenomenon, closely related with the resolution of the strong CP and U(1) problems. We study the mechanism of such screening in a 'correlated instanton vacuum', as opposed to the 'random' one. Both scalar and pseudoscalar gluonic correlators are analyzed by means of an observable that minimizes finite siz...

Casimir ‎effects‎‎ of nano objects in fluctuating scalar and electromagnetic fields: Thermodynamic investigating

Casimir entropy is an important aspect of casimir effect and at the nanoscale is visible. In this paper, we employ the path integral method to ‎obtain a‎ ‎general‎ relation for casimir entropy and ‎i‎nternal energy of arbitrary shaped objects in the presence of two, three and four dimension scalar fields and ‎the‎ electromagnetic field. For this purpose, using Lagrangian and based on a perturb...

Typeset Using Revt E X

The impact of QCD instantons on scalar glueball properties is studied in the framework of an instanton-improved operator product expansion (IOPE) for the 0++ glueball correlation function. Direct instanton contributions are found to strongly dominate over those from perturbative fluctuations and soft vacuum fields. All IOPE sum rules, including the one involving a subtraction constant, show a h...
